Install JukFTP™
First, let's show you how to install JukFTP.
Run the install program and you should be greeted by this screen.

Continue clicking "Next" to complete the JukFTP installation process.
Setting up JukFTP™
Now open JukFTP from the Start Menu. You will get a prompt saying "Server file not found. Creating new server File". Then you will be greeted by the JukFTP graphical user interface.

Now we wil explain the various sections of the JukFTP interface.

This section of the screen shows us the list of servers we can connect to. After you install JukFTP there will be only one server available called "MyServer" which is just a placeholder to get you started.
You can use the
and
to add servers to and remove servers
from the list

This section is the information that is associated with
the server selected from the previous screen. Here we enter the information
required to connect to our friend's server.
Name: The name we want to associate to this server.
Address: The IP address of this server.
Login: Your login for this server.
Password: Your password for this server.
Port: The number of the port that this server communicates on.
Type: The type of connection the server uses.
Preferred: Is this server on our preferred list (more on this later).
Filenames: The names of files you will send to this server.
Now that we are familiar with the interface let's create a server in our list and send it some files. For our example we will assume that we have a friend "Jack" and he has an Ftp server configured for us already. He will need to provide us the afore-mentioned information so we can connect to his Ftp server and send him files.
Now we have entered the information that Jack has provided us. If you notice, the "Address" portion of this section contains a strange string of numbers. This is Jack's current IP address. Keep in mind that this IP address can and most porobably will change so Jack will need to update you on his current IP address. A better solution is using No-IP which will assign Jack's computer a name that translates to his IP address and will keep them in sync no matter how often his IP address changes. Here is the information filled in if Jack uses the No-IP service.

Now we can always connect to Jack's computer.
**Please note that everyone on your list must have an Ftp server installed on their machines. If you haven't done so, please visit our Quick n' Easy FTP server set-up guide for beginner users or our Serv-U Ftp server set-up guide for advanced users.
Sending Files
Now let's find some files to send to Jack. Click the
button. This will open a dialog box that will allow you to select some files
to send to Jack. You can select one or multiple files and then click "Open".

You will notice the first file you chose is now in the "Filename(s)" box. Now let's select which servers we want to send these files too. At this point we only have one server but in the future we may have many servers. We select the server(s) by clicking the checkbox to the left of the server's name. Checking the "Servers" checkbox selects/deselects all of the servers in our list.

Now we click on the
button to start sending our files. At any time we can click the
button to cancel the transfers.

These sections of the interface gives us updates on our transfer's progress. Completed messages are in green, while error messages are red. We can also track the current speed and progress of our transfer(s).
Windows Explorer integration
But hold on, there's more. There is an even easier way to send your files. Close the JukFTP interface. Now browse the files on your computer. The easiest way to do this is through the "My Computer" icon on your desktop. Whenever you come across some files you'd like to send quickly to your friends regardless of its size, you can just highlight it, right-click and select "Send file(s) to JukFTP member(s)". This will automatically open the JukFTP interface with your files already selected. Using JukFTP in this way allows you to send files and directories and all the files and directories in them as well. The directories will be created for you on the server in order to retain the file hierarchy.

Now all you have to do is select which servers you wish
to send the file(s) to, and then click the
button.
You might have noticed there was another menu item when you right-click, "Quick send file(s) to JukFTP member(s)". If we click on that menu JukFTP will open up and start sending automatically to every server in your list that you have checked off as "Preferred".

This way you can set up a "VIP" list of friends. Highlight, right-click and send. It doesn't get any easier.
